Asleep in a sea of memories - ANZAC Day 2012

So it's April 25th again. The ANZAC day.

I remember how spontaneous was my last year's submission [link]

Maybe because I didn't had time to do anything better, since I was doing a large school project about the same theme (Some of you may remember the interview I did for it)

However, I'm extremely proud from this year's artwork, bacause I really wanted to change my coloring style and to use more textures, and the result turned out quite fine, I think.

Hope it's a pretty decent tribute.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
The official symbol of this day is a poppie.
